The Client’s Vision
Once a grand symmetrical palace split into two mirrored halves, this property held echoes of the past in every corner. But when the new owner stepped in, he saw more than just heritage… he saw potential.
He unified the interior into a single, flowing space and came to Solace with a challenge:
Reimagine the outdoors to reflect this new life.
What stood outside was still a reflection of its split past. Classical, formal, and disconnected. The new vision was modern, warm, full of life and movement. A tropical sanctuary where elegance met family living.

The Challenge

• A massive plot of land with extreme elevation differences across the landscape
• Symmetrical outdoor layout clashing with a newly unified interior
• A garage entrance that no longer served a purpose
• A need for multiple features to serve a large family and frequent gatherings
• The desire to maintain open greenery despite a feature-rich design

Our Approach
Solace set out to preserve the soul of the palace while designing for a new era.
The foundation of our concept was transformation. Not just of the structure, but of the story. We embraced the scale of the landscape, layered its verticality, and breathed modern life into it without erasing the boldness that once defined it.
Every design decision was made with intention mixing form, function, and family.

The Transformation

1. From Garage to Gathering Space: What was once a garage entrance on one side of the palace became a charming English courtyard, connecting structure with serenity. The garage itself was transformed into a warm, inviting living area.
2. A Horizon Pool Like No Other: We placed the main pool at the landscape’s highest point, floating above the garden with a clean horizon edge. Water flows from this level, cascading into a lower garden tier as a water feature creating motion, sound, and continuity.
3. A Home for Moments: With family at the heart of the home, we created multiple hubs:
   • Two pools, including a pool slide for the kids
   • Outdoor bathrooms
   • A modern glass room for all-season comfort
   • Kitchenettes for easy hosting

4. All Woven with Nature: Despite the rich feature set, we kept generous space for lush tropical greenery, ensuring that softness, privacy, and peace remained key to the experience.

The Result
A once-split palace exterior is now a bold, unified experience. A landscape that flows with the family’s rhythm.It’s a home that holds both history and joy. A place of elegance, of laughter, of memory-making. A space that supports it all.
